SILLY SNACKS FOR YOUR SUPER COOL KID

KIWI ROBOTS: On a plate, cut kiwi in slices (can use an egg slicer).  Arrange like robot and let them decorate with raisins and cranberries.

MANGO MANIA:  Peel a mango and hand it to them like an apple.  Very juicy - usually best on a warm day outside. Can put on a fork.

POPSICLE CRAZE:  Buy plastic molds (dollar store) and fill with favorite juices.  Ex. Odwallas work great, OJ, lemonade.

FROZEN BANANAS ON A STICK:  Take ripen bananas and put on a popsicle stick and freeze.  Great just plain.

CRAZY FRUIT CUP:  In a clear cup layer fruit put soy yogurt in between layers.  Strawberries, grapes, banana work great.

TUNA BOATS:  Mix some natural tongal tuna from the can with mayo or just avocado if you are not doing dairy and add lemon, pepper, salt.  Scoop into romaine lettuce leaf.  Can leave like a boat or wrap. 

WALKING SANDWICHES:  Take apple cut in half, hollow out core, fill with peanut or almond butter, and top with raisin, start walking...

RICE, RICE BABY:  Rice cakes topped with tuna fish, or peanut butter; you can make pizzas too! (use soy cheese for dairy alternative).

KABOBS:  (Veggie or fruit) Cut up and put on toothpicks or wooden kabob sticks. Dip in whole soy yogurt any flavor. 

SWAMP JUICE SMOOTHIES:  (So easy to sneak in the good stuff) Soy yogurt, protein (whey) and bananas. Throw in a handful of carrots.  Use spinach or Swiss chard for the green color.  Can put in some flax seed and/or acidophilus powder.

ROLL-EM-UPS:  Ezekiel's all grain sprouted tortillas, rice, or soy cheese (galaxy brand melts best) spinach thinly chopped.  Melt under broiler for a minute. 

EGGS IN A BASKET:  Earth's best non butter.  Eggs, toast or rice almond bread.  Make a hole in the bread, put egg in hole, fry in pan.

CUCUMBER SANDWICHES: Cucumbers sliced thin, cream cheese or slices rice or soy cheese, sprouts and tomatos.  Use the cucumbers as the bread, slice extra and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

ROW ROW ROW YOUR BOAT:  Pocket bread, spread sides with avocado and stuff with turkey, sprouts and shredded carrots.   

CHEESY BLUE CHIPS:  Blue corn chips, galaxy soy mozzarella, slice tomatoes on top after you melt the cheese.

BOWL FULL OF "CADO":  Large avocado sliced in half, pit out, fill with grapes, or grape tomatoes.

OLD Faithful:  Peanut butter and jelly or peanut butter honey banana.  Take a rolling pin, flatten bread and take off crust, spread on stuff and roll back up.  Use a toothpick to hold together.  If you are watching the wheat put the peanut butter in a bowl with a little honey and let them dip the banana or apples.

HOMEMADE POTATO CRISPS:  Thinly slice potatoes, cover baking sheet with olive oil, spread out, potatoes can overlap some, bake at 350 for 25-35 minutes depending on crunch desired.

APPLE "CAPRISE":  Slice apple in half take out seeds, place face up on aluminum fold or in baking dish and bake at 250 for 20 minutes.  Let the kids sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg or top with raisins.

*  Real bars are pure source - they come in real green or real fruit. 
   My kids think these ARE candy bars.
*  Organic gluten free cereals in zip lock baggies such as peanut butter panda puffs, puffins cinnamon
   or regular, koala crisps, rice crispy.
*  Peeled carrots, apples, pears, grapes in zip locks.
